My name is Matt Kantor, I am 23 years old.  I was born in Key West, Florida. I live in Texas for 16 years and now I have live in North Carolina for five years.  I play basketball, dance, listen to music when I draw, exercise, and love to have a good time and enjoy life - Carpe Diem - Sieze the Day, my motto I live by.  I started drawing when I was in middle school and progressed over the years. I am always coming up with new ideas and new challenges to expand my creativity.  I love creating art because it puts me in my own world; my feelings are evident in my art work.

I completed high school in Dallas, Texas - Bishop Lynch HS - and I graduated college,received my degree in art at Warren Wilson College in Swannanoa, North Carolina.  I play basketball for the school, completed many service hours, competed in student art shows, just trying to get my name and art work out there.

MC Escher, John James Audubon,  Georgia O'Keffee, and Leonardo da Vinci are my favorite artists.  I see my work similiar to their work, detail, and nature.  MC Escher's work consist of illusions and great detail.  John James Audubon consist the wildlife (mainly birds) in America.  My work consist of birds, crosses, nature, hands, and anything that catches my eye.  I view these three artists as my inspiration to become an artist that my name will not be forgotten.
